Work on this 50,000 SF, three-story, $10.6 million office complex included various design-build services from civil, landscape, architecture, interior and fire protection design, to structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical engineering.

The building’s structure is a brick inlaid concrete exterior with steel interior framing and tilt-up concrete walls, for which Haskell self-performed 100% of the work. P&J occupies the first two floors of the building while tenants lease the first.

The project is a design-build construction of a new building to house two new 90-ton-per-day, vacuum pressure swing adsorption oxygen production units; associated electrical, instrumentation and controls; as well as site and civil work. Miami-Dade Water and Sewer’s first vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) system at the 143-MGD Central District Wastewater Treatment Plant significantly reduces Miami-Dade County’s power consumption while generating the same amount of oxygen used before. The new VPSA technology replaces an aging cryogenic system and helps Miami- Dade County meet environmental guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
